Along the Chirchik River, Pre-Tashkent region. F.P. Korsakov, 1965 (240, p.88). The term is used with limitations
Synonym: Chirchik Series, Чирчикская сер.
Lithology and Thickness
Divided into two suites: lower - Chatkal Fm and upper – Bogustan Fm. Thickness 140-800m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lies on the Kibray-Neo Fm, Chulin Fm, and Paleogene
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain, sometimes with erosion, by the Murzrabad Gr
Regional extent
Pre-Tashkent region. In the Pre-Tashkent region, it corresponds to the Pskent Fm and Gidzhal Fm.
